One of my favorite moments from any boudoir session is the mid-shoot realization.
The one where my client — usually a woman who’s spent years thinking she’s “just average” or “not photogenic” — stops mid-pose and says:
“Wait. I actually look… like a model?”
YES. YOU. DO.
Here's What Happens:
You walk in, probably a little nervous. Maybe you’re thinking about your insecurities. Maybe you almost canceled. Maybe you’ve never done anything like this before.
But then you sit down in my makeup chair, sip your coffee, and start to settle in. We chat. We laugh. We go through your outfits. And then I guide you into your first pose.
Click.
You hear the shutter.
Click, click.
Then I flip the camera around and show you a shot. Just one.
And your jaw drops.
There it is. That moment. The one where you stop seeing “flaws” and start seeing FIRE.
Where you realize you’re not just "cute" or “okay in photos.”
You’re stunning. You’re magnetic. You’ve had that energy all along — we just unlocked it.
So if you’ve ever said, “I’m not model material,” I want to gently (or maybe not-so-gently) challenge that.
You don’t need to “look like” someone else to be worthy of the spotlight.
